Important Dates for Interns
There are several important dates that prospective candidates should keep in mind.
Please Note: Alberta Municipal Affairs may change any or all of the dates listed below should it become necessary to do so.

January 29, 2010 |
Interested candidates are required to have their entire intern application package in to the ministry no later than 4:00 pm. Information should be submitted by regular mail or by courier to the address listed on the application form. Faxed applications are not encouraged because they do not photocopy well. |

February 2010 |
Alberta Municipal Affairs will have reviewed all applications and produced a shortlist of candidates. This shortlist will be provided to the host organizations. |

February-March, 2010 |
Host organizations will be reviewing the qualifications of each candidate and contacting the candidates they are interested in, to set up interviews. Click here for more information on the intern application process. |

March 29, 2010 |
Hosts should have selected an intern by this time. |
|
May 2010 |
Internship placements begin. The host and intern will mutually determine the exact start date. |
|
June 2010 |
All interns will attend a three-day Orientation Session hosted by Municipal Affairs. |
| April 2012 |
Completion of internship. |
