Public Participation

Public Participation

A Public Participation or consultation process is important because it ensures that decisions reflect community needs and priorities. We can help you bring together diverse groups of stakeholders to collaboratively develop solutions to complex issues and at the same time create buy-in, consensus and community.

A public participation process includes:

  • identifying its purpose and intent, setting clear shared objectives for participation
  • defining community stakeholders and appropriate level of public participation
  • planning and managing all aspects of the interaction with the public
  • evaluating and communicating the information gathered

Building trust and demonstrating commitment is a critical component of public participation. We can assist you with the design, management and facilitation of a public participation process.
