The Safety Services branch has created this site to provide you with a forum to ask questions and receive answers related to the Safety System in Alberta. Questions regarding the Safety Codes Act and any of the codes and standards governed by the act, such as the Alberta Building Code or the Gas Code, will be discussed here.

A moderator reviews all messages, and Safety Services reserves the right to post only those messages that are relevant and appropriate.

There are two options available to you on this site. The first option is the Discussion Forums section. This is a moderated public discussion on issues of general interest where common questions and answers are posted. There is a Frequently Asked Question forum (F.A.Q.) under the "GENERAL" heading. Please browse and search this area as your question may have already been asked and answered or you may wish to contribute to an existing discussion in one of the other forums.

The second option is our ASK THE EXPERT, where you can ask general questions about anything relating to the Safety System in Alberta. You will receive a direct response to your question from a Safety Services expert, and your question and response may also be posted for the information of others.
