Safety Services in partnership with the Safety Codes Council, is responsible for establishing and interpreting the electrical codes, standards and regulations related to installation and product safety under the Safety Codes Act.

Municipal Affairs works in partnership with the Safety Codes Council to develop and provide relevant information to the electrical industry, building owners and authorities having jurisdiction.
