Regional Services Commission, Financial Information Return and Sample Finance Statements

2008 Commission Financial Reporting
Section 602.34 of the Municipal Government Act requires that each regional services commission prepare an annual financial information return and annual audited financial statements. Both must be returned to Alberta Municipal Affairs by May 1 of each year.

Financial Information Return
The 2008 financial information return template and accompanying manual are now available for downloading: The Regional Services Commissions FIR template require Microsoft Excel version 7 or newer to complete, and must be saved as MS Excel version 7 when returned to Municipal Affairs.

To download a file:

If you enter a request for a password, click Cancel to continue.

Annual Financial Statements
A set of sample financial statements (Sample View), area available to use as a reference in the preparation of the 2008 financial statements. They may also be downloaded here using the same process as indicated above.
