July 31, 2008 The Library Association of Alberta (LAA) is very pleased to partner with the Centre for Family Literacy for an online professional development opportunity called "The A,B,C's of Family Literacy" to be delivered through the EI Education Institute, on Oct. 16. This one hour web conference is open to Library staff and Board members, and anyone else interested in literacy issues and using a family centered approach to increasing levels of literacy in their community. All you need is a high speed internet connection and a telephone to attend; no special software or additional hardware is needed. As with all EI Education Institute audio and web conference sessions, as many people as you can comfortably seat around the computer and phone can attend for the price of one registration, so this is an easy and cost effective way to provide family literacy training to a large number of people.
